Hallelujah! Parker learned to ride his bike!

At our old house the streets were not a conducive area to learn to ride a bike. The sidewalks were on a hill and the driveway was also steep. No more excuses! We now live on a cul de sac with very little traffic and it is the perfect area to learn to ride a bike. That is exactly what Parker did and he continues to ride his bike every night.

First grade here we come!

Spencer, Cooper, and I walked Parker to his first day of school. We couldn't seem to find a spot to take a picture without the sun in our eyes. It wasn't as dramatic for us as the first day of kindergarten but I still feel like it all going to fast.

First Visit From The Tooth Fairy!

Parker lost his first baby tooth. We kept offering to tie a string to it and connect the string to a door knob but he wouldn't go for it. The tooth fairy brought him a rare silver dollar:)

The third and fourth picture is our trial run at a mohawks on the boys. Spencer didn't want his picture taken:(

Iowa State Fair Fun

We braved the elements and loaded ourselves with patience to take the boys to the fair. All in all it went pretty good. I believe Cooper only had one meltdown, it was at least in the air conditioned Varied Industries building, and that is pretty good for our go-getter. He is a free spirit of sorts. Cooper likes to do what Cooper wants to do. We went through the Little Hands Farm and the new building where baby animals are being born 24/7. Of course went through the cattle, sheep, horse barn and to the DNR building to see the fish. We might of had a little food too:)

Hey, I guess I like baseball!

After much encouragement Parker tried coach pitch baseball this year. Guess what? He liked it and he is really good. We were very proud of him. He has quite an arm and bat left and right handed. I think his favorite position was 1st base.

Birthday #3-Finally it's Spencer's turn!

Spencer turned 4 years on the August 12. While we were at church, Sunday morning, I think he told everyone we passed "It's my birthday today." I don't think I have ever seen a kid that excited about having a birthday. We had homemade chocolate cake, ice cream, and lots of fun! The big Spiderman pillow from his Uncle Kurt, Aunt Jill, cousins, Cyan, Alia, and River was by far the favorite.

Iowa State Fair Parade

The family got to ride in the Iowa State Fair Parade this August. We rode on the ISU float. Even though it rained most of the time we had a blast. The boys did a terrific job sitting still and waving to those we passed by. Cooper kept a close eye on Cy who was also on the float. We hope we can do it again next year. When we arived back home we tried to take a picture of the boys in sporting their ISU jerseys. I would say we were successful in capturing them in true form.
