Happy "7th" Birthday Parker!

Parker turned the big "7" today! His birthday was a whirl wind of activities. I had taken the day off work to take Parker and his school friend, Spencer, to Burger King for lunch and then to the pool that afternoon. At 5:30 the real fun started with a party at "Pump It Up". He invited all his friends, and claims it to be his best birthday. He got so many great gifts: transformer toys, lego cars, books, basketball, ISU hat, ISU short and tank set, and a ISU "1" football jersey. I thought I had purchased Parker's big gift, and IPOD shuffle. However, Dad went out an bought a mini 4-wheeler. No, he did not check with Mom first. Regardless, Parker was thrilled. The first time he got on it, he ran into the tahoe. We have to work on "use your break" thing to stop. He tried putting down his feet. LOL

Spring Soccer Season Ends

Another soccer season has come and gone. Parker's last game was his most aggressive. For some reason he always waited for the ball to come to him. After watching how aggressive he was in football this year, Coach Mom made a few suggestions before his last soccer game and it worked. He played his best game by trying to be everywhere the ball was, and ran as fast as he could to get there. It was a lot of fun to watch. I was a little dissapointed in our vidoe camera. I wanted to tape the last game but the camera just didn't want to cooperate. It think it is time to invest in a new one.

Fun at the Park

Parker's day of school was cause for a picnic at the park. We had intended to go to the zoo but didn't realize it closed at 5:00. So we went with our fall back plan and chose a local park. The kids really enjoyed it. The park has excellent playground equipment and they took full advantage of everything. If you notice Parker has his hair spray-painted green courtesy of his after school camp counselor. It washed out much easier than the red hair paint he chose last time.
