Parker's B-day Camping Trip

Parker decided that instead of having a pizza party for his birthday, we would prefer to take a friend camping. He chose to take his friend Tanner along on his birthday camping trip along with Grampa Baker and daddy. We spent the weekend at Timberline campground in Waukee. It's a private campground that has trails, a pool, and is very clean.

Visiting Team V

We ventured over to Iowa City on Saturday to visit the newest member of the family, baby River. Grampa Jim and Grandma Jan were there as well. First the kids spent some time bouncing on the trampoline in the back yard. Then they ventured inside and ran around the house for a few hours. When all was said and done, the kids were happy and exhausted (and the parents and grandparents too)!
You can see below we didn't have very good luck getting all 6 cousins to sit still, look at the camera, and smile all at the same time.

The only picure with Cooper in it (and just barely at that).

The Maiden Voyage

Parker and Justin headed out for a 4 day, 3 night stay at Lake Aquahbi State Park for the maiden voyage in the camper. We're happy to report that the camper held up great and both Parker and Daddy returned on Sunday totally exhausted. It was a bit warm, but the lake kept everyone cool until the sun went down. Parker and daddy went swimming, fishing, hiking, and even met some new friends from Des Moines.

Soakin' up some rays at the shelter house by the beach.

Parker enjoying a smore fresh off the campfire.

Parker graduated from pre-school this week. Next year it is on to kindergarten. They celebrated at school with a Luau.
